How to end your rental agreement early by naming a new tenant

As a tenant at THE FIZZ, you have the option to end your rental contract early by naming a suitable new tenant. The new tenant must also meet the following requirements:

1. • Is an enrolled student, apprentice, or trainee
     (depending on location, young professionals may also be accepted. Please check with our Letting Team)
   • Minimum rental period > 6 months to 30.09. of a year and at least until the end of your own contract

If you wish to leave your apartment early, you must start the process at least 4 weeks before the end of the month in which you plan to move out.

This means if you have signed a contract from 01.10.2022 to 30.09.2023 and want to terminate it on 31.05.2023, you would have to find a new tenant who will rent your apartment from 01.06.2023 to at least 30.09.2024.

If you have found a suitable new tenant, fill out this new tenant form completely (as soon as you send it, we will automatically receive it) and the other required documents via our contact form.

Once your new tenant is approved, our Letting Team will send you the mutual termination agreement (Aufhebungsvereinbarung) via DocuSign. You simply sign it digitally.

Please note: A new tenant processing fee of €150 may apply, depending on your contract. This will be communicated to you by our team.
