Starting this year, all of our leases are open-ended—meaning you no longer have to worry about renewing your contract! The duration of your stay is simply determined by your termination options.
Depending on your model, the effective minimum rental periods are structured as follows:
1. Full-Year Stay (Standard Lease)
Minimum Stay: Effectively 1 full academic year.
Termination: 1 option per year, always effective on August 31 (requires a 3-month notice period).
2. Semester Stay (Limited Availability – Hauptbahnhof & Brigittenau THE FIZZ plus only)
Minimum Stay: Effectively 1 semester.
Termination: 2 options per year aligned with the academic semesters, effective either on February 28/29 or August 31 (requires a 3-month notice period).
In short: Your contract automatically continues until you choose to end it at the next eligible termination date (February or August, depending on your lease type) by giving 3 months' notice.
