If you have an unlimited period agreement, regular termination depends on the specific booking type selected during your booking process and stated in your agreement.
1. Important Deadlines (3-Month Notice Period)
There are two official fixed termination dates. Your written notice must reach us three months upfront:
• Termination as of August 31st (Standard / Full-Year Stay):
Your written notice of termination must reach us by May 31st at the latest.
• Termination as of February 28th/29th (Optional Semester / Short Stay):
Only valid if this exit point was explicitly chosen during your booking and is stated in your agreement. Your written notice must reach us by November 30th at the latest.
2. Formal Requirements & How to Submit
To be legally valid, your termination must be submitted in writing with your original signature.
Please note: Terminations by telephone or simple email text cannot be accepted.
How to submit your termination (Choose one option):
• Option 1: Online via Contact Form (Recommended)
Download our termination template, print it out, sign it by hand, scan it, and upload/send the document directly via our [online contact form].
• Option 2: By Post to our Head Office in Berlin
Send your signed physical letter to:
International Campus Austria GmbH, Muthgasse 109, 1190 Wien
Note: For postal deliveries, the official date of receipt is the day the letter physically arrives at our Berlin office (not the postmark date).
Download: You can find our official [Termination Template here].
3. Early Termination via Tenant Replacement (4-Week Notice)
If you wish to move out outside of the standard seasonal deadlines, you can terminate your lease early with a four-week notice period to the end of any calendar month, provided you find a suitable replacement tenant to take over your agreement.
More details on this process can be found in our [Replacement Tenant Guidelines].
Important: Parking Spaces & Garage Slots
If you have rented a parking space or garage slot alongside your apartment, please remember that this is an independent agreement. It will not terminate automatically when you move out of your room and must be terminated separately.
