If you have a long-term contract, you can terminate it with three months' notice by September 30 of the second contract year.
For example, if you have a contract from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2025, you could send a notice of termination by June 30, 2024, to terminate your contract on September 30, 2024.
In order for us to accept your termination, it must be in writing in accordance with §126 BGB (German Civil Code). This means that we need the physical termination letter with your original handwritten signature on it.
You have two options for submitting your termination to us:
- In person at your residence’s reception
Hand in the originally signed termination letter to the House Manager.
➤ Please note: The House Managers are only authorized to receive the letter. The Letting Team will review and process your termination. - Send by post to our central address in Munich:

Terminations by telephone or email (neither scanned documents nor terminations with digital signatures) cannot be accepted.
Only the respective house managers can accept the termination. Receptionists/study helpers cannot accept terminations.
When terminating at the reception desk, the date of acceptance signed by the House Managers is the date of receipt. When terminating by mail, it is the date of receipt in Munich (not the postmark).
