What does the deposit cover?

The deposit (usually 3x the cold rent and paid before move-in) serves as security for the landlord. It may be used to cover any unpaid rent, damages to the apartment, or missing items. After you move out, the deposit is refunded in full if there are no outstanding payments or defects in the apartment. By law, THE FIZZ has up to three months after the end of the contract to return the deposit.
