When and how can I terminate my tenancy agreement?

Cancellation & Termination

Once your booking has been confirmed and the tenancy agreement has been signed by both parties, it cannot be cancelled. This applies to both long-term and short-term stays.

Long Stays
The tenancy agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and cannot be terminated during the initial minimum rental period of 12 months.
After the minimum rental period, you may terminate your tenancy by giving one month's notice, effective at the end of a calendar month.

How to Terminate long stay: Complete and sign the termination form and submit it via our contact form  (preferred) or send it by post to:

Important & applies for Leiden long-stays only: After your tenancy termination has been confirmed, you must also terminate your energy contract with Linthorst Energy.

Short Stays THE FIZZ Leiden
Short-stay contracts are concluded for a fixed term and cannot be terminated prior to the agreed end date.

Terminations by telephone or without your signature are not legally valid.
