Can I sublet my apartment?

It is possible to sublet your apartment, but this must be approved by the landlord in advance. The minimum period of subtenancy is 61 days. For that, fill out our subtenant form and send us via the contact form a copy of your subledger’s passport and additional documents you will receive via email once subtenancy is requested. If the permission is granted, the personal permission will be issued and sent directly to your house management and has to be signed by your sub-lodger.
⚠️ Please note: In case you are living in a shared studio, the gender of the sub-lodger needs to match the gender of your roommate if not agreed differently by both parties. 

We do not conclude a contract with the sub-lodger so you would have to clarify everything contractually with your sub-lodger yourself. The sub-lodger needs to register at the reception and fill out the UBYPORT form before the move-in. Any foreigner is obliged, within 3 working days from the date of his/her entry into the territory, to report his/her presence and the place of his/her residence in the territory to the police.

Please note that the sub- lodger fee of 700CZK/28€ applies.

⚠️ Important: When you sublet your apartment, the accommodation agreement remains in your name. This means you retain full responsibility for all payment obligations and compliance with the terms of the agreement.
